you probably won't find any sites on this as it a learned skill that takes lots of practice, you need a very steady hand and be very consistant moving the gun.... I worked at a place where part of what I did was weld together racks and they wanted me to paint them with a air sprayer, since I got some experience I decided to try this exact thing and paint my car... Now it didn't turn out flawless but it doesn't look too bad either (and I got good shine)... I suggest if you still want to attempt practice enough before attempting on your car. If you mess up on the car and have to take it to a pro it's gonna cost alot more to fix than if you went there in the first place..

Hi there i dont know of any web site forums but if you live in the UK you ought to look at your local college and shee what is on offer when i was a lecturer at the local college we ran both car maintenance and also vehicle restoration classes as well which we used to let people fetch their own vehicles in to repair them you could try that and see if there is anything around you

Honeslty, if you dont know what you're doing - dont do it! You will spend a fortune on materials only to **** it up and have to pay someone anyway to put your mess right. Consult your local bodyshop or try this website - www.everycarpart.co.uk - they supply car panels already painted. The prices are unbeatable to be honest.

Try the house of color web site, they have books and dvds.
Personally, hands on experience teaches you how to spray and prep.
