are there any average colleges that I could apply to for free. Whether that be online or not.

Sorry...I don't think any colleges offer free applications. You could try contacting the university of your choice though, they may be willing to work with you. Unfortunately, it's a costly and time-consuming process for admissions.

Some colleges wave the application fee if you apply onlkine rather than a paper application. I got my application fee waved when an admissions counselour visited my high school. She just put a signature on the application. Some colleges will also wave the fee on a paper application if you visit campus. I went on a tour weekend of my college and in the information packet was an application with a stamp waving the fee. It really depends on the college, but I wouldn't advise not applying for a good school just because of an application fee.

I would not base my college education on a free application.

Some will waive the application fee.
