I have been working from home successfully since October 2004. I have performed marketing as a statutory employee, setting appointments for my employer's clients. The pay per hour is more than I could get from basically any job in my area and I am able to set my own hours.

To do this you obviously need a home office with broadband, a fax and certain contact management programs...Experience in phone marketing is a plus and is almost always is a requirement since you will be training yourself and need some experience on basic sales skills and marketing techniques. The best way to find valid work at home marketing jobs is to sign up for a profile on America's Job Bank and submit a resume being certain to list home marketing as one of your job search criteria. You will likely get many spam emails or see a lot of ridiculous " work at home jobs" on there but there are legitimate ones as well. The legitimate ones will only ask that you have a home office, will ask your experience and will request to speak with you by phone and concerning MONEY they will only discuss paying YOU. Not you paying them a fee to work for them. Anyone asking you to pay a start of fee to work from home from them is NOT a good opportunity. Those should be totally avoided...

There are a couple of websites that have job listings and give good advice about working from home. There are also some low cost and no cost home based business ideas and info on how to get started. They are both free.

Medical coding or legal transcription. You'll have to be trained to get a decent job, though. The training is usually about a year long but worth it if you are serious.

There are no real work at home businesses.......at least nothing like stuffing envelopes or assembling stuff at home or typing at home.....That is all a rip off or scams.
The only real work at home business is one you come up with on your on. Like home daycare or catering etc.
Figure out what you are good at and see if it can be done from your home.

chersxw,
your question is open to interpretation.
are you saying - stay in your home and be a cog of something else or work from your home and produce income with benefits?
if it is work from home then visit myhealthycustomers.com/apply .
this may not be for you but you have to look before prejudging.
