What do you mean despite the videos? What videos? The only videos I saw were the ones of him approaching the hanging area, and getting a noose around his neck. That seems to be a good indication that he's dead, not that he's alive...

You need to re-word your question, it is a bit confusing. I think the videos are quite good evidence that Saddam is dead. Your question implies that the videos proved something to the contrary.

Well when you see somebody get a rope put round his neck , then they open a trapdoor and he falls about 9 feet until the rope snaps his neck, that is usually a good indication that they are dead.
