I have a windows XP PC. I want my friend to access my PC from his PC using the SSH protocol with port 22. He has putty software. I dont know how to open my computers port to enable his PC to access mine.

Windows does not include a Secure Shell service. You'll need to locate and install a third-party service if you wish to use Secure Shell.

You then either need to port forward port 22 to your internal IP if you're using a router, or open the Windows Firewall to pass port 22 traffic if you're directly connected.

Have your ssh server listen on port 22, and port forward on the router firewall if necessary.

Access your router using it's IP.
Try http://192.168.1.1
