I am looking for easy scarf patterns that involve yarnovers and decreases so as to make holes in the pattern.

Doesn't "easy" by definition preclude such things as yarnovers and lacy holes? I would've thought so. Anyway, I find most of my knitting patterns through Google. Dogpile works, too, I'm told. Go to either of these and type in "free knitting pattern scarf yarnover." Hit Enter, and you'll have plenty to sort through. If that doesn't give you enough, take out the word "yarnover" and try again. Happy knitting.

Google "Free Knitting Pattern"
Lots of sites will be shown - scarf patterns are readily available. You can also call Nautical Yarn in Ludington, MI 231 845 9868 and order patterns - she may have free patterns available too - or they can tell you where to find them. They are AWESOME and so it all the yarn they carry.
