I lived in Europe for 5 1/2 years, specifically Germany. I loved Germany, France was great to visit (though I wouldn't want to live there!), Italy was cool, but everything shuts down during the day for a few hours (even gas stations), Austria and Switzerland are gorgeous, but expensive, and I love London, would live there if I could. The best thing about Europe is that most people do speak English (in Germany it's required in school) and the food is amazing. I also like the friendly attitude of the people and there are so many things to see and do.

My 2 trips to Europe were the best times of my life, hands down. I went in 2000 and 2002, both times with my high school teacher and a group of students. We visited Greece, Italy, France, Spain, and England. The highlights of the trips were a Greek island cruise, ascending to the top of the Eiffel Tower, eating gelato in Venice, and watching the Changing of the Guard in London. I was greatly impressed by the modernity of Europe. It is just as modern as the United States! I like how they pay more attention to food in Europe too! :) Every meal that I had was good. It all tasted fresh and homemade. I liked the public transportation and the roads too. They consider transportation very important, which is nice because it is so easy to get around when you are there.
I loved Europe, but I love the USA even more. As much fun as I had on both of my trips, I was still glad to be back on American soil.

I've been to Denmark, Holland and Germany. Denmark is beautiful and very scenic - nice beaches but very windy. Germany all I noticed was the autoban - yuck. Too fast at times with too many delays other times - lots of graffiti. The food was too sausage intensive for someone who doesn't eat red meat. i'd like to go back though and see some more of the country. Holland was a whirlwind tour but Amsterdam was a cool place would love to go back!

I've had five trips to Europe. The first two (to Italy and London) were epic. The next two (to Transylvania and Sicily), not really. The fifth one (to Greece and Turkey) was my best trip ever.

Yes, I have lived in France for most of my life, and i have visited England, Italy,Spain, and Germany. And Iam telling you, each place has it's own charm.
They are all both modern and antique at the same time, so you can visit historical buildings and enjoy modern shopping malls, don't forget the fabulous food

I like Southern European places like Greece, or Italy. Seems like most of the Europeans go South for Holidays.
