Let me get this straight.....you found somebody else's cell phone and you want to use it for your own? That equals bad karma. The best thing to do is call somebody in their phone book and ask whose phone it is. Make a valiant effort to return it to the owner, Cell phones themselves are cheap and can be replaced rather easily. But the info stored in it is most likely invaluable to the owner. Think about how you would feel if the shoe were on the other foot.

Assuming you are a resident of the United States, you have just asked for advice on how to circumvent an electronic security device, which is a violation of your hideous Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
The FBI are on the way.

Turn it in to it's right service provider or you can take out the SIM card tand replace it with yours so it can basically be yours..but make sure you got a charger b-cuz it kinda makes the battery go low..
If it is a cingular phone dont try to guess it because if you do it will lock you out
and you have to have a cingular sim card to make the phone work
Good luck
