Tough question, because nostalgia becomes a problem after a while. I'm now in my 30s and I am "happiest" I've been, in the sense that I know myself better than ever. My mom (in her 60s) once told me that if she could be any age again it'd be age 40.

I was thinking the other day, though, that ages about 5-8 are probably the best time of life. We're so open to life then, so curious, and young enough that we lose very few moments in reflection, physically we're so flexible and pretty graceful -- but we are big enough to be in control of most everything we do.

It is extremely difficult to pick just one from so many "happy" periods, but certainly amongst the top 10 are when we lived in the northwoods, on 15 wooded acres, and we tended a garden of about an acre, virtually providing all the vegetables we could eat in a year, and still having some to share with others. It was a life like no other; one that some cannot begin to appreciate.

To pinpoint the happiest period is difficult as one moment of bliss fades into another, making me wonder which one was the best. Some of the best have remained dormant, as the offshoot of karma (hard labor, such as topping the exam, or getting PhD); others have melded, and subsequently weakened as tasteless). Some incidents have been awe-inspiring and they need not be told. But I think the experiences of flashes of divine presence can be thought of as the best. The point is, to be exalted in moments of happiness and to be depressed in moments of grief is a sign of weakness. This very sentence from Geeta forbids recalling any that tops the list as the best or worst.

the moment in life where u have lived the fullest without having any second thought of the rest of the world is the happiest moment of your life. its the quality of life what matters and not the quantity so u cannot count in terms of period.........

It has to be when I was a kid and we used to live near a river. Our house was on a small hill and I remember the beautiful mornings and evenings, the floods, picking wild-berries, swarming everyday. There was no past or any future worries. They say live in the moment and I was truly living every moment. I was about ten years old at the time as I remember.

A two year relationship with an incredible woman in LA. It was too short, if I hadnt been so imature (24) and she hadnt had a husband I think we could have ended up married.

Maybe not the perfect basis for a relationship but those were incredible days.
