Being under-weight has nothing to do with how much sleep you need as long as you are eating normally. At 13 you should go to bed at least 9 hours before you need to get up! Between 8 and 10 hours is normal dropping as you get older. Most adults still need 8 hours though some people are able to function on less!
Save late nights for the week-ends!

Well, if my 2 boys are anything to go by around 10 hours per night. I've heard it said that teenagers are like puppys and they need lots of sleep. Something to do with how their brains process and store information as they develop. Mind you, they will also stay up for 2 days at a stretch if they're on a LAN night!

For your age group you need 8-10 hours of sleep having any less than this bad because your body needs to recouperate (wrong spelling?) from the day before and your still growing so you need plenty of sleep!
Hope this helps
