379 inches or 31 feet and 7 inches or roughly 31.5833 feet
when using unit, one don't normally change them around directly, unless if the problem ask specifically to convert them......like inches to feet, and pound to kg ....etc.

When you add the inches together, you get 379 inches. If you divide it by 12 (because there are 12 inches in a foot), you get the funky number 31.58333... which is nothing more than 31 feet and 7 inches.

Just remember when adding all one type of unit of measure the answer will always be in that UOM. and try to convert to a common one if the units are different. your answer is in inches

Think about this. If you add dogs to dogs, do you get cats? Of course not. Therefore, wouldn't it make sense that if you add inches to inches that you would not get feet. Dogs + dogs = dogs and inches + inches = inches.
