NO FRENCH FRIES or Chips as we like to call them. Only been to USA a few times but was astounded how much food was highly processed and DEEP FRIED. After a week I was gagging for a nice green salad and some proper bread that was not loaded with sugar

Theres no Wonderbra that you get into trouble. There is no such thing as tartare OF beef, it's Beef Tartare, it just means raw meat
and I prefer salad with mine thank you.
Come to think of it though, your's looked like raw meat by the time we had finished on New Years eve. I won't forget that it a hurry, byeeeeeeeeeee

and the Tartare off the menu at 21 club is great! (quote from a movie)

Actually, I prefer a baked potato and a salad, with a nice red wine...
Something I found that i do truely enjoy, Fully enjoy...and that's a wine made from Concord Grapes, with a nice steak...and tartare...it just brings out the intensity of the meat

Beef tartare should only be made of the highest quality prime beef and is a delicacy, I think it should only be eaten with salad really, but that is just my opinion.

Having mistakenly once eaten steak tartare once when I was in The Netherlands, the question of chips or salad will never come into it as far as I'm concerned! I'm like Mr.Bean - I think it's horrible.
