Go to Zambia in Africa. I hear it's beautiful there and it would be very educational. You can see Victoria Falls from there. You can't go to Zimbabwe anymore since it's no longer free, but you can view it from the border of Zambia.
You know, Africa is such a fantastic and potentially prosperous continent. If only all the countries there were free and not run by ruthless tyrants who oppress their own people.

You have to give up more info than just that. What state are you in? Locations will vary depending on the state. Also will it be a day trip or some place you can visit and stay over night? The posibilities are endless. A couple of examples would be:
In California there is Allensworth, the only Black funded, Black run town. There is also the African Dispora Museum in San Francisco, Marcus Bookstore, one of the first Black bookstores in San Francisco and the African American Art Museum in Oakland.
A great place to visit in Tennesse is the Alex Haley Farm. It is now the headquarters and training place for Freedom Schools and houses the Langston Hughes Library.
So give me more info and I can help you out with other places. Feel free to email me if you want by clicking on the picture.

Yahoo search some of the famous people in black history and look for locations of memorials to them. For example, George Washington Carver in Missouri and Alabama or Booker T Washington in Virginia. A home of friends of the Underground Railroad would be interesting. Go to www.gale.com and enter black history month and there will be free resources for black history study.
