There are plenty of answers on how to remove carrot stains from clothes. But does anyone know how to remove them from plastic dishes? I'm not sure if it is safe to use bleach, especially on my kid's plastic plates and spoons.

Its probably safe to use bleach if you wash it really well afterward with dish-washing liquid.
I've heard that washing powder for clothing works to remove tough stains on dishes as well.
If you don't want to use those because of safety reasons try soaking it in vinegar.

Chlorine bleach would probably work. Pour a 1:5 part bleach to water mix in the bottom of the sink or into a pan and soak it. I've removed stains from my plastic counter tops with the mix by putting a color less dish cloth soaked in the solution on the top. Bleach eats up cloth so don't use a good rag. That's why you dilute the bleach for laundering. Just rinse the dishes off with water and it's perfectly safe. We use a weaker solution of chlorine bleach in the restaurant for sterilizing dishes.

If you have a dishwasher get Cascade Plastic Booster. It is a gel that you put in one of your soap cups and it helps get rid of stains on plastic dishes. I have used it to get rid of tomato sauce stains on my Tupperware. It also gets rid of the smell of garlic on plastic dishes.
