I'm doing a project on Copenhagen. Great city! But what's it missing? Has anyone who's visited or lived there got any suggestions? Culturally, structurally, gastronomically, environmentally, educationally...anything???

Well I have been living in Copenhagen for almost 6 months and I am from Canada. Copenhagen is pretty but I do find it a little dull to live in. Most things to do are so expensive that you end up not doing much. A walk in one of the wonderful parks in the big entertainment. There are a lot of restuarants but they are mostly either pubs, cafes, or fine dining and all pretty expensive. Shopping here is also more limited then any other first world country I have spent a lot of time in. Sure there are lots of clothes stores but shopping for home items and certain foods can be tendious. I also think that the transit is over priced. I paid 18 kr the other day to go one zone on the S train.

It is hard for me to judge culturally because I can't go to the theatres and things because I don't speak Danish. There certainly are several movie theatres but the movies are very limited.

While it is a very pretty city, the view is often mared by construction or industrial building or wind mills. Oh and my favorate is the big pretty tower in the radhas plaza with the ugly head phones on it, not to mention all the other awful billboards on the historical buildings. They have been doing construction on the central station since I got here too and I have never actually seen anyone working on it.

I am complaining but it is pretty city. Prettier then many other cities in Northern Europe.

Hope that helps
