Ooooo.. a good one, There are Various ways in which we can do this.. Firsty, if your computer can write onto cd's then this is the best option. it's cheap and fast :) and you can store your stuff onto many cd's as you like.. or if you would prefer ALL your files onto one storage device why not try a DVD, again only if your pc can write dvd's.. or maybe if you wanted somthing more usable and not just for storing back-up files.. why not try a USB drive... i wouldnt use this as your main HDD system.. mainly only for storage.. i have heard these things can burn out or become corrupted if used to prolonged periods of time.. Or if you're looking for somthing small and compact and you don't have that many files to back up.. you could try a memory card or a USB Flash memory stick.. i normally back up all my files onto my iPod.. it's a very handy device :) or why not even get a secondary harddrive fitted.. there is so much choice :D... the if all of these above are not able... then you could try uploading it online.. this will take forever depending on how much there is to upload and how fast your connection is :) Good luck!

The above are all good suggestions.

Another way requires work and some cost up front. But after that you don't have to do anything.

Setup your computer for two hard drives in RAID 1. Otr have a local computer shop do it for you.

Then you have another hard drive that automatically saves everything. If one drive breaks, you replace it. The other one has your information.

The backup suggestions that aren't automatic are like losing weight. Everyone starts off with good intentions, but many don't keep it up. RAID 1 is do it once and you're done.

Just Add to your Pc system another Hard Disk Drive and once a week copy all your files to the other hard disk.
The second solution is to download Itunes add your photos there and then backup your whole library to multiple DVDs RW . The itune can span them to dvds. This is the cheaper way to do it . And the safer.

I bought a 4gb pen drive for all my personal documents, eg; music and photographs, but a 1gb would do the same job.
If you crash, just go back to factory settings, you will have all your documents safe on your pen drive
