I will travel up to 3 or 4 hours, would like B&B or nice hotel- not crazy expensive. thinking of mid-feb so as long as there are things to do/see in the middle of winter, I'm happy! any suggestions are welcome.

Any where out in the Berkshire area is nice in Western Massachusetts. There are lots of B&B's in the area, I travel out to the Lenox area every year! If you don't want to drive there is an airport in Pittsfield, MA that you can fly into.

Check out the Red Lion Inn up in Massachusetts I believe, my parents go there quite often and love it. Also look into The Mystic Whaler Inn, and there is one in Essex, CT that I am aware of, just unsure of the name.
