Funny thing about the way America calculates unemployment, it is solely gaged upon how many active claims they are not national census figured regarding the employed or underemployed, if benefit terms are shortened or Unemployment becomes more difficult to obtain the unemployment rate appears to decrease.

Maybe you should spread the word that the operator at the Wisconsin unemployment office is now the official economist of the U.S. lol. There are many other factors other than unemployment, and unemployment varies from state to state. Ours is still doing quite well, even with Ford plant closing and Chrysler laying off many workers as they always do this time of year.

OK, you tell the truth and get slammed because the anti-intelligence posse refuses to check up on anything spoken out by a Republican administration.

Unemployment reporting was switched to household from individual. If you have a household with 4 unrelated unemployed 20'somethings and 1 works, the other 3 don't count as unemployed, by the household method, where as the individual method it does count. Bush's administration changed reporting methods quite a while ago to put some "positive" spin on reality. The truth is the economy is in really much worse shape than we even know.

Yes there are many other factors affecting the US economy, other than employment, but this doesn't mean the outlook is any better. According to the national debt clock of the US, public debt stand at $8,598, 568, 521,350.16 This is a ridiculous amount of money that will be difficult to repay as all we ever seem to hear on campaign trails is lower taxes. Also taxes lost from companies using offshore banking is again a huge amount of money. The 'idiot' did not lie.

Wisconsin is not doing so well. a shipbuilder just laid off 750 people. Detroit is in the tank because the Unions wouldn't help to make American Cars more economical and competitive. But the economy as a whole is doing well. There will always be bad spots.

I live in Wisconsin and the unemployment rate is 4.5%. If you can't find a job here it's because you must be a typical lib who doesn't want to work and just wants a free handout.
