I am thinking of getting a foam matress topper, does anyone else have one and would you recommend it?

i got a full mattress from tempur both me and my partner both suffer from back pain but since buying this mattress we have no pain at all it is well worth the money as we both get a full nights sleep and no more back pain you can lie on your front side or back and your body justs moulds into it its fab go on treat yourself you will be able to get a discount in the jan sales good luck

I used one for a while, and it worked very well. It does retain heat, though so be prepared! One item to note though, is that if you place the topper directly on the mattress, the foam topper will rub on the fabric and may cause the mattress fabric to "pill" in areas. To avoid this, you should place another sheet between the mattress and the topper.

yes it really does make a difference, but the first answer on this page - to put a duvet underneath your sheet instead - would be just as good. That's what I used to do before I got a tempur mattress cover. If you have a spare duvet I would try that first, to save money, as the mattress covers aren't often cheap. But you do definitely get a better night's sleep out of it.

i got 1 of these just before Christmas in Argos double size is £20 it looks like a thick duvet but it is brilliant it feels like you are sleeping on air i know its not the foam 1 but for £20 its fantastic

If it is to make your bed more comfortable then I find that putting another duvet under the sheet is fantastic - sooo comfortable!

Yes, I have, and no, I wouldn't. Sheer waste of money. (By the way, "mattress" has 2 "t's")
