We purchased laminate flooring from Sam's wholesale club. We put this flooring in our living room because it is a high traffic area (two small dogs, kids, etc.) I can honestly say I HATE this floor. I clean it at least 3 times a day and it never looks shiny. Within an hour of cleaning it you can look at it in the light and see footprints (dog and human) that just stay on the floor. We dry it completely after cleaning it with a slightly damp cloth of laminate cleaner or a combo of Windex and the cleaner. The floor sits next to a dining room with real wood and there is just no competition between the two. The real wood gleams regardless of the foot traffic but the laminate looks hazy and cheap. Any suggestions? We are ready to tear it out and put carpeting back down at this point.

I use windex on my laminate floor, does better than the cleaner they suggested. I dampen a mop and spray the windex does the best job. I also use it on my vinyl kitchen floor, no streaks.

Mop with undeniable warm water and then take 2 hand towels and "skate" around the floor. extra desirable than in all probability you have some form of left over residue from previous moppings and the only thank you to get it off is undeniable water and wiping with dry towels. you could might desire to do it a pair of situations, even if that is going to come off ultimately. i've got additionally chanced on that the Quickie string mops go away fewer streaks than the different type mop i've got used. when you have wiped sparkling off despite is inflicting the streaks, verify you brush or vacuum the floor extremely nicely earlier mopping lower back and don't use something yet undeniable water or water with slightly vinegar to mop. each thing else seems to streak or cloud the laminate floors.

Quit using windex or laminate cleaner, just use a damp cloth with water only.

Sounds like you got cheap laminate. If you have any left over, look at the care instructions. Or you could contact the company and ask their advice.

Try using a small amount of Mr. Clean or equivalent. If there is no shine, you got ripped.
