I have 2 laptops at home that are never turned off. One of which has been running for months at at time.

The only thing to worry about is heat buildup. I have a stand that they sit on that has 2 fans underneith each of them to keep them cool. Also it is recommended to have power settings turned so that the monitor turns off after a half hour and your screen saver turns on around 10-15 minutes.

The only thing to consider when leaving laptops running for long periods of time is heat and cooling. Some laptops get very hot and have to run fans continually to keep themselves cool. If this is the case then it might be wise not to leave the laptop on all the time. However, the majority of laptops will run all day without problems.

I would also agree with the others. I use laptops all the time. The one thing I would also add is to completely discharge the battery on the laptop(s) at least once a week. This will help prolong the battery life.

I agree with the above (it's fine, but they get hot) - but just to note that apparently with lithium batteries it's the heat that eventually kills 'em off. So you might be inadvertently decreasing your battery life by running 24 x 7.

Yeah, but there's a big chance of it heating up, specially if it's a laptop.
