Clinton signed NAFTA and gave Permanent MFN to China. That sent all of our jobs overseas.

Then Clinton tripled illegal immigration. That drove wages through the floor.

Then Clinton signed welfare reform to put lazy Democrats back to work.

Wow. You would have sworn Clinton was a Republican. Oddly, Dems view him as a hero even though he screwed them by going against the working man.

Sadly, Clinton gave NO MONEY to help Grandma buy her medicines. Thank God that Bush wasn't like that --- for the sake of millions of our grandmas.

Clinton was a good President. And each party has to be for something and be against something. Which is the lesser of the two evils? I will take the door with the giant D on it anyday over the R door. Haven't felt safe since 9/11. And if the new President can make this a better and safer place to live than so be it. At least we will hopefully get out from under this stupid war. And yes it's stupid! I'm 51 and I have lived long enough to see what both sides do and stand for. I say they can shove it, where the sun don't shine and suck on that oil can a little bit more. And maybe you'll turn the same color as your friends in the middle east George. I had a dog named George once, shame I didn't know this was coming, or I would have named him Ali-baba or something! Tired of this whole mess.

You are an idiot. The international market is why our country is dominant to everyone. He didnt send all of our jobs overseas either. How did Clinton triple illegal immigration when it was "W" who allowed them in and even allowed them to vote. How does signing a welfare reform put lazy democrats at work. They were probabyl already at work. You surely would not confuse Clinton with a republican, because republicans dont get any play and Clinton is an open minded person. You are obviously one of the blinded youth or something. You have all of this hatred towards Clinton because he is a democrat. It really shows how open minded you are. Clinton was by far a better president. Clinton will be known for getting a bj, and Bush will be known for being a bumbling idiot with a middle schoolers reading level that lead us into two unwinnable wars. Way to go "W" and way to go You for being an idiot and showing why democrats are taking back Washington.

Because of a law passed in 2002 called "Fast Track", GW Bush is the only president ever to have the power to make or break any and all trade agreements. Bush was actually still trying to push CAFTA through. So Bush could fix any of thje problems caused by nafta and take away China's MFN status
Actually China didnt get MFN under Clinton- alie
Immigration didnt triple under Clinton - a lie
But it has gone way up under Bush both as President and Gov of Texas
and he wont let the home militia protect their own borders in NM and Arz, calls them outlaws

Clinton did not simply sign NAFTA. He stole the floundering Republican idea of NAFTA, championed it, made it his own and went to the American people with rousing speeches asking them to write their congress in support of it. This draft dodging complete moron, instead of pushing ideas out of principle, did it because he thought the votes were there (many republicans in favor and a few dems to be had with some arm twisting) and he could rack up an "accomplishment."

Because of Clinton saving and using his considerable clout to glorify the horrible idea of NAFTA, we now have tremendous momentum in that direction.

Clinton is a no good sell-out & the wife is the same ,only bobble-heads with shallow awareness could buy into the main stream media hype planted that SHE would be a great leader DUH maybe for the ruling class & political insiders. She is more of an enemy for the majority public any woman worth her salt during the Monica thing would have divorced him flat out! No not her she choose to keep living large and go for more like a pig!

ANSWER: HE DIDN'T!

the NAFTA agreement was suppose to allow more trade opportunity on this Continent. it was push through by republican majority. i sat watching in horror as the entire republican house cheered about Clinton eventually signing the thing on cspan!

Clinton tripled illegal immigration?? last time i checked that is congress's job to deal with. which party has been majority for the past 6 years? which president created Bush's guest worker program??

that welfare reform is what cut welfare's wasteful spending and promoted welfare recipients to get of their duffs and work rather than laying back just collecting our tax dollars!!

as far as swearing he was a republican...well he wasn't republican, but he was more conservative than most of them these days.

the thing that screwed the American worker wasn't NAFTA. the American worker was long screwed before that, with deregulation of trade with communist countries that our companies have no way to compete with. well unless you want to have to pay a year's wage for a VCR!

That is the tip of the iceberg....

"Wow. You would have sworn Clinton was a Republican. "

Yea, both democrats and republicans are just the different side of the same coin.

Well, write to your congressional representatives and have them undo all this nasty stuff. Tell them how disappointed you are with your lot in life. Tell them the little man needs a boost. Yes, lets raise taxes and give more to those who won't work (I'm not saying we shouldn't help up those who need it).

You've pointed out the truth: That Clinton was a pro-business moderate Republican under the label of Democrat. But those who laud him are so relieved he was not a typical Republican-Fascist that they're content with the policies you mention. It couold have been much worse, as we have seen with the current Administration.

If it wasn't for the cheap goods that these other countries supplies to the US, we would be in a major economic crisis right now.
As for the illegal immigrants, wasn't Bush who claims that we need them to do jobs that Americans wouldn't do?
