Hey so you get locked up for what ever..who are you going to call? Your mother has been the victim of a violent rape...maybe a police officer? The rapist has been caputured and now where do they go? Who protects you from them escaping? Are you willing to volunteer? Before you go insulting those who protect your rights get a clue. Maybe we need a bunch of rednecks to turn their head the other way when the criminals are taking your libertys away. What do you think...are rights being violated.

My question is to address another question regarding having jails go private. The person refered to these people as rednecks. That offends me..but what the hell I'll be a redneck over a moron anyday thank you!

What's being a redneck got to do with it? I guess a lot of cops adopt the redneck's practical prejudices--they think they've seen this before so they assume it's the same situation again.
Most cops do their job well, but hey, it's not an easy job. Maybe the cop that pulled you over for a minor traffic violation and is being unreasonable and condecending just came from a domestic disturbance he could have referred to the Jerry Springer show, or is remembering the kid he sent off in an ambulance because of the last jerk driving with a cell phone.
Cops are just people. You'd hope that they would always be professional, and they usually are, but they aren't paid enough for us to expect them to be perfect all the time.

if you are referring to the cops who shot Innocent USA citizen for nothing over this bridge in new Orleans . well i will say this i hate a corrupt cop they are the worst to our free society . we look for them to protect us with out any discriminating race cred etc. i hope they hang those idiot down there for this killing in time of despaired these peoples was just trying to get rescue and got shoot like dam dogs in the streets . how can you condone this type of behavior from the peoples we hire to protect all of us not just one race or group of peoples . i total disagree with you .

My nephew is a cop who has a Bachelors degree and he is far from being a redneck. So I don't think they are all rednecks.

Police are a great idea... It's the idiots who get hired giving the badge a bad name! Humans have too many prejudices and "hangups" which affect how they treat other people.

First off, cops are nothing but a bunch of crooked, lazy, worthless itches!!! Cops are so corrupt you only do whats good for you and you alone! I don't need a cop to protect me, I own several loaded guns. Thanks for nothing!
