i asked a question about black history month and how some people feel it is not fair. i did not get many responses. it seems to me that some people on here only answer questions that they KNOW they can debate at. like it will hurt them because they know i am right.
not many can debate the question that i asked because i looked at both sides points of views. look and see for yourself.

Most people in this forum are on here just to screw around. If you want a true answer to your question, you might want to try a different section; like politics.

No one wants to be serious for a moment. And some try to avoid issues. Others are scared of the response they may get in return. And yet others just want to bury their heads in the sand and not acknowledge an issue exist. Also it is hard to come up with a vulgar reply or a question to it like someone above this answer does.

Aaron,

I was one that responded to your question. I feel one of the reasons is because you came off educated. I have noticed people only want to debate the uneducated very racist type questions which yours was not one. So in fact take pride in the fact you got factual decent responses then a bunch of kids coming in and destroying your post. btw, clicked on your myspace link you are a very talented artist.

Side note: Mizhani you raise a very valid point and you are correct. I think what American needs to do is start teaching HISTORY reguardless of its color.

Well to answer your question about black history... I feel as if it is upsetting, degrading and insulting to lump part of America’s history in the shortest month available. Black history is American history. America comprises of a melting pot of people, and all people should be praised of their contribution to this society.

All the same until we get there.. we must lump every great black deed done, into 28 days. I can't imagine that people would see it as unfair... unless out of ignorance they would conclude that it is racist and separatists.. however it is those same people that do not recognize that history in America is white history .. :( which is recognized 10 months out of the year.

All the same I would imagine that many are bombarded with racial questions, and frankly... people are sick of discussing it. No one wants to hear about how unfair society is to black people... or minorities specifically. No one wants to hear about why a month is necessary to discuss the pride that the majority culture should have for having us there. And, unfortunately, to our detriment... we as African-Americans have also taken that role. We have also decided no to discuss issues in hope that they will finally disappear. However, not discussing it doesn't solve these plaguing issues in our society; it just brings us closer to repeating the mistakes of the past.

Personally, I dont care if "they" want to give black people, hispanic people or anybody else their own special month. Unfair? Not really. Its pathetic that you all need your own month, college fund. Why not move on from the past, get yourselves an education without special treatment. I know many people of all races are and are not independant,Im not reffering to those who are. Everyone in America has equal oppurtunity, poor also. My father in law came here VERY poor, luived on the streets for the first few years and is now a Plant manager making big money. Its all about motivation, not money, not being raised in the hood or in a gated community. Leave your sad story in your head,.

some ppl dont answer certain question because we are at working answering questions knowing damn well we are not suppose to be on this site so therefore we just try to answer questions that are quick and easy. not something we have to think out too much. I'm not a work right now thats why my answer is a bit long

Sometimes I just don't have anything new to add, or I know so little about the Q that I just move on.

I don't think BHM has a significant impact on my life. I love history, so you can go ahead and make every month Human History Month and that'll be OK with me.

i think another thing on here is that people choose easy questions that take a couple seconds to fill out because all they want is the points and so they pick the questions they don't have to think about.
