My mum locks the computer alot and when i need it for study she wont put it on! any way on how to pass the windows XP password thingo?

to be honest you cant bycott an administrators password on windows ( except you boot from a cd) but you can walk round your mum why not try this when the eventually allows you to use the system i.e she logs on go to control panel > users account and select the remove password options so you dont have to type in the password when you log on (and i hope you are not planning on doing anything stupid)

Depends on if it is at the Root, or at the windows level.
Root( Disk level lock) is hard to get changed, and needs software to change.
If it is just windows; reboot into safe mode, and change the permissions for your account, reset pw even... usually works.

You can try installing a key logger - but this definitely is NOT a nice thing to do.
You can also try reinstalling Windows on the top of the old installation. But you might get caught.
Just try to talk to your mum.

You could boot into safe mode by pressing F8 while it boots up and going to the Admin account and turning off the password.

hmm..i see.. well, try hacking into the system.. if the com really needs a pssword..then.. try using diffent passwords.. to get in..birthday dates, ic numbers, or just sm random numbers... good luck ..;)

at your level of training, I'd not advise it. best get with mum to set up time for computer.
