Well if you want to get one out from the library of blockbuster here are some suggestions.

1. Chick Flick = Elizabethtown
This is a good movie that both sends out a good message AND has plenty of romance.

2. Action/ Adventure = Either or both of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
These movies keep you on the edge of your seat, and have comedy in them too. The visual effects are absolutly fantastic too!

3. Horror = I dont watch many horror films but any of the SAW movies.
It is filled with gore and lots of horrror.
4. Comedy = Christmas With the Kranks
This is an xmas movie but is hilarious with Tim Allen as the star.

I have 2 choices since I don't know if you are going to the movie or staying home to watch it. If your going out, my daughters recommend Holiday. Unfortunately, I missed it due to some last minute Xmas shopping, but they raved about it. If you're staying in, I recommend Simply Irresistible. It's an older movie with Sara Michelle Gellar. It's a really cute love story with a magical twist. It's funny and will warm the heart.

Good time escapist movies are the Bourne flicks with Matt Damon. Easy to get into, well made, good acting and fun. Enjoy!

Star Wars IV ( A New Hope)
It's the beginning and the end in sci-fi, and if you have seen it before watch to see a glitch in the f-x.... bet you can't find one.. And they innovated the industry, not to mention the sound!

if you like scary movies you should definitely see House of a Thousand Corpses. It's a Rob Zombie movie and it's gotta be one of the best horror movies I've seen.
