I don't want a girl, I want all boys.

I wanted a healthy baby, of either gender.
There are a lot of birth defects in my husband's family. He also did two tours in Iraq, so his blood chemistry is, um, interesting. (The man should glow in the dark...)
We were lucky enough to receive a very healthy, strong, bright little girl, and, in retrospect, we're happy we had a girl instead of a boy. One, I think my husband might be too hard on a little boy, and two, a little girl has less rigid societal roles (kind of reversed in the past couple generations, eh?). She can play GI Joe OR Tea Party, and won't get strange looks. She could play baseball OR do ballet, and no strange looks. She could be a beauty queen or a construction worker, and people probably wouldn't bat too many eyes. It would be harder for a little boy, I think, if he decided he wanted to do ballet or play Barbies, or whatever. I wouldn't care, but I'm sure he'd get teased at school and what not.
Plus, I'm waiting with anticipation for the day when I come back home with groceries and my Career-soldier infantry husband is squished behind a tiny little table, set with the "good" china, wearing a tiara and feather boa while Katie serves tea and cookies.

Well, I kinda wanted a girl first since I was the oldest sibling in my family (with a younger sis and bro) and I really helped my mom by being a "2nd mom", especially to my brother who is 10 years younger...
BUT! I just had a baby boy in June, and am madly in love with him! :) Now I look at it as having an older protector for any other children I have. I guess there is good in both!

Originally I wanted a boy but i Had a girl, now i am glad that i had a girl, hopefully a boy wil be next and she can help be mommy with me!

I wanted a little girl but just delievered a precious baby boy and could not be happier about him. I think it is in your mind of what you want, all you should care about is that your baby is heathy and that you love them no matter what.

i always wanted a boy then a girl, but once i got pregnant i didn't care.
i had boy and he is awesome!!!
frankly, i think boys are easier, but that's just my opinion!
