i'm having bad cramps, bleeding breast tenderness and i'm not sure whether these are side effects or not.
help!!!

I stopped using it about a year ago. i was on it for ages and I had no problems no side effects and I thought it was fantastic having no periods. However since I stopped I have not got my periods back and put on a hell of a lot of weight and I am struggling to loose it. I don't feel enough is really known about it and I was a bit naive to thinks it would all work out OK as I am now in a new relationship and have no idea what to do about contraceptives as I think condoms ruin things a bit!
If I was you I would not bother with the next injection on speak to the nurse about other options available to use.

Call your doctor. I was on depo for a year and started having migraines from it. My cycle stopped, so no bleeding, but I did have the breast tenderness. I had a friend who was on it and taken off due to the heavy bleeding and cramps she was having. Call your doctor and talk with her or make and appointment to go in and she what other bc suggestions she has.

hiya i have been on it a year and no side effects till now i have irregular bleeding phases am sure it is this i would see your doctor as unfortunatley it is in your system for 3 months after the jab so can not be reversed but they can inject an anti sickness thingy to help you through till the end

I have been on depo provera for about 4 years. I have had those same symptoms, and yes they are related to depo provera. You may be one of the ones that can not take the shot, i had to go off of it for a while, but i'm back on it now.

i was on it but it didnt agree with me had migraine an feeling tired bled constantly boobs were had cramping in my stomach i wasin a lot of pian and was really worried went back was told not to go on it again i have since been taken of the pill as well for blood clotting reasons

I used to be on it.Stopped early last year as it made me feel very sluggish had blood tests and the results showed very low oestrogen levels so I stopped it now on pill, and feeling better.

yeah they are i had really bad side effects and was taken off it
my GP gave me a list of side effects you should of had one if you didnt ask him
