Tell your doctor what you are experiencing. I think ob/gyn prescribe meds for this or they will refer you to a psychologist.

You can look into support/self-help groups on postpartum depression in your area. Talking to others that are going through the same helps a lot.

Good luck:)

P.P depression is 2 sided. On one side, your normal chemicals get out of whack and create a temporary depression after childbirth lasting a week to in the extreme cases several months. You said it had started during pregnancy so this might be a case of depression from being pregnant a.k.a. a life change. You may not feel attractive anymore, paranoid when it comes to your boyfriend, etc. Please seek out a good therapist.

Did you take anything for your postpartum? I had postpartum but since I have been diagnosed with bi-polar disorder, which yours doesn't sound like, but it sounds like more than just postpartum. I'd talk to your regular doctor and try to get in to see a professional, don't put it off or else you might do something you never intended or would have done other ways.

Everything that you said here, you should tell your doctor. I suffered after my second pregnancy. It's better to talk to your doctor.
Good luck to you and congratulations!

I am not dealing with it now, but I have in the past. I can't being to tell you how awful it was. Had I known then what I know now...
Talk to your doctor. They can actually prescribe things for that now. It's actually dangerous. Please get help for it. It is not something you can deal with on your own.

Zoloft is safe for breastfeeding mothers. It's been a life-saver for me.
