honestly what to expect when your expecting really isn't that helpful. Personally i don't find it helpful. Not saying their needs to a instruction manual to be pregnant but it gives you a lot of vague answers

I am plus size and the best book out there is what to expect when expecting. The only difference really between thin and thick girls is the risk for gestational diabetes, but if your healthy you don't need to worry. Also the movements are different but I do believe that the book talks a little about that too. well good luck and congrats.

Some books like "what to expect when you're expecting," pretty much cover everyone in general. They talk about being plus-sized, but not in a derogatory way. I haven't seen many specifically geared toward plus-sized moms, but there are some websites. And here is a link to a book on Amazon:

I hope that helps, and congrats :)

They don't exist just as I have come to discover that here in Florida where I live the retailers think that plus size women don't get pregnant therefore we don't need maternity clothes, bras, or anything else cause being plus size simply means that no man will want to touch you therefore you will never have children. I have had to resort to the internet to get clothes that fit and let it be known that I am pregnant and not just getting bigger.

there really aren't any. i mean yesterday i wasn't being smart wheni said maybe u should write one. i'm being truthful. many people look at plus size women and they are disgusted so they don't glamorize pregnancy for women who are plus size. if you notice they market palmers coco butter to skin women so they don't get stretch marks. there aren't any plus size women on tv showing their bellies. that because they think they already have stretch marks from being overweight.

i'm not overweight but i have people in my family that are. i don't understand what you're going through. so buy "what to expect when you're expecting" its a general pregnancy book but i wouldn't waste my money. just talk to your doctor he or she is the best source for information. hope this helps. congrats!

Forget anything you have ever been told about Diabetes.

And get this - it has nothing to do with insulin, exercise, diet or anything else you've heard in the past. It's all based on latest breakthrough research that Big Pharma is going Stir Crazy to hide from you.

I think that if you have a healthy pregnancy, any books would apply, whether you are overweight or not. They are related to pregnancy, not the mother's weight. Congratulation, by the way!
