When you say best player that means someone who has the best all around game offensively and defensively.

The only person that is sound at both is Jason Kidd.
Jason Kidd has 6 triple-doubles on the year. The next closest person has 1. He has done this on a team with mediocre talent overall.

If New Jersey has a better record people would notice that.

Allen Iverson is by far the best at his craft. He does it all, takes a beating, and has more heart than Rudy x1000. He gets ZERO respect from the media yet is the single most unstoppable player in the NBA since MJ. He gets no gift fouls from the refs either. He goes to the rim and is HAMMERED more times than anyone. UNlike D-Wade. I think I got called for a foul on D Wade this morning as I left my house.

well I normally LeBron James but if you give Steve Nash any group of players he can bring out the best of them, like he did Boris Diaw and Raja Bell... before they went to the Suns, together they averaged... 17 pts 3 ast and 5 rebounds... now with Steve Nash and the Suns they average together... 25 pts 7 ast and 8 rebounds so Steve Nash makes people look so good and inprooves them and his own stats that nobody compares with him

and also he averages 20.2 pts and 11.4 assists
