it'll feel really un-comfortable, you'll know Right away. Your optician should have gone though how to check they are right before they gave them to you though!

Usually you just feel there is something wrong because it is hurting a bit, and your eye start getting red.Nothing scary. When u have the lens on your finger look at it. If it looks like a V it is not correct. If it looks like a nice U, it is right.

if it's in the wrong way, it'll usually feel as though you have grit in your eye.

as rusco21 suggested, try holding the lens up to the light or against a light surface, and flip it both inside and out.

when the lens is correct, it looks like a smooth (sans-serif) letter U in profile.

when the lens is incorrect, its profile has a liitle sharp lip on the outer rim (like a serif letter U).

sometimes you need to flip the lens inside and out a couple of times before it's easy to make the distinction

No..there won't be any difference in your vision, but if you have inserted your lens the wrong way, u feel very unconfortable and your eyes will be watering,,,,,,,,,

if you have disposable contacts and they are getting older then it is hard to tell at first if you have them in the wrong way. if your eye site seems a little blurry or if you close one eye and realize that you cannot see as well out of the other then your contact might be inside out. sometimes it just feels a bit irritated or scratchy. it may even just fall out of your eye.

just take it out, switch it around and see which one looks more like a pie plate.

take care. SD

if you put it on your finger and it forms a little bowl, then it is correct. If the edges flip out then it is wrong. If you insert it wrong generally it feels like you ahve a hair in your eye and the discomfort will alarm you to remove it and try again.

Your lens should be a smooth curve upwards as you look at its profile, if the ends seem to flatten out or curve the wrong way it is inside out.
