i just think they adapt, find other ways to tackle a task....take spell check for example....i am a mom of 3 LD boys. each take on problems at their own speed. one could only learn to count standing on a chair....so what he can count ! LOL!

Unless the one is already below-normal child by birth his/her lack of learning ability would not be a permanent one. If a child is not given good circumstances, parenting, teachers etc, his/her learning problem will worsen a lot. The child or a person provided with Caring and Loving atmosphere naturally can perform all types of traits in a well proportional way. Too much pressure, induction of fear by parents or teachers, lack of motivation (that too shall be done by the elders only to the child) spoil the whole mechanism of the brain function and it causes the worst learning problem in the life!

we need to find out what is causing the problem (abnormal brain function, sight problems) to idenify a solution.
