If you think discrimination is wrong, then why did you discriminate against other questions by selecting this one?

So either all discrimination is not wrong or you are a hypocrite...which one?

You are confusing discrimination with making a choice based on what interests me. There is discrimination with a captial "D" and discrimination with a small "d." Capital "D" discrimination involves bigotry and racism, which are bad. Small "d" discrimination is hardly the same because it involves making a choice based on preference, such as chicken or fish, chocolate or vanilla, Mary Ann or Ginger, etc.

First of all, this is a pretty weak attempt at a philosophical question... especially with its accusatory tone...

When talking about discrimination, you have to define your terms... you know full well everyone assumes the "prejudicial" definition of this word...

Selecting a question to answer isn't discriminating against other questions. None of us has the time to answer EVERY question here on Yahoo Answers. We all scan the questions on the summary page and choose those that "sound interesting" on their surface. I tend to open several questions, only to then not answer some that weren't what I thought they were.

If you are talking about discrimination when it comes to social issues, then of course it's wrong. The problem is that discrimination is inevitable. It has to happen. No one can satisfy EVERYONE else on EVERY issue. That would be an exercise in futility, not to mention a good way to end up angering everyone in the process after a failed promise to satsify all issues.

Just in case you can't look it up for yourself... choosing some questions over others on a site like this is called "selection"... not discrimination...

But thanks for the laugh at your lame attempt at sounding intelligent... (how's that for accusatory?)...

Your position, "all discrimination is not wrong or you are a hypocrite," is faulty logic.

Everyone practices discrimination in their daily lives, in the people they choose for their friends, in the music they listen to, in the foods they favor. We tend to want to be around people with similar backgrounds and interests, but this type of discrimination is normal and healthy. It is okay to be picky with your friends, who you date, what you see, what music you listen to, etc..

Destructive discrimination is the sort that punishes people for being different than ourselves. This sort of discrimination includes barring people from jobs or organizations because of their race, gender, nationality, or religion and ignores their abilities.

The first lady and the dude above me are not being honest. You're very smart. Really good question.......This leads me to believe that discrimination is just part of life. I didn't think discrimination is wrong at all............People are just dumb. They don't want to be discriminated against, and they make up things to soothe them or make themselves feel right. It's both; they are hypocrites, and discrimination is not wrong; it's natural.

We all practice discrimination every day and need no apologize for it. You discriminate against those who would beat the snot out of you, rape your wife and cannibalize your infant son. You also discriminate against every person who speaks another language by refusing to learn every known language in the world. And you discriminate against germs by washing your hands and getting immunized against dangerous diseases. Are you ashamed of yourself yet?

You with your black and white.....NOT all discrimination is wrong (I discriminate against those who patently display bad judgment,e.g.), AND I am not a hypocrite. Go read a damn logic book.

The opening question was an attention-getter, that's why... kind of like someone posting "How do I.....?", then you open the da*n thing and it's a long post on how to "make money easy" in some stupid scam.
