NO...although the Germans were jealous that they had not been able to build an empire like the British and it's associated ex-colonial trading links. The Germans wanted their empire to be in Europe.
I'm going to digress a little....
I know it's hard for some people to accept that Britain didn't go to war for economic reasons. Actually it could be argued that for economic reasons Britain should have made the peace pact Hitler offered. The pact on offer was that Britain would not have any of it's colonies attacked and trading links disrupted in return for not going to war with Germany. Britain refused the deal and has spent the last 50 years paying off war debts to the USA and Canada as a result. The final payment on those loans was made just last month in fact. Britain lost an empire and hundreds of thousands of lives followed by rationing and poverty for decades.

WW2 started with the German attack on Poland which was allied with Britain, so Britain declared war to Germany.
The main cause for the war was Hitler's desire for power. Others fought against Nazi Germany to stop it.

I would disagree...Hitler invaded Poland, the Sudetenland(Czech Republic), France, North Africa, bombed London, and of course exterminated 10-15 million people...mostly Jews.
