because we learn with all our senses and one of them happens to be our eyes.
I totally Identify. I am disabled but it's not visable so I get the usual remark like "prove it!"

Most people can only identify things they can see. Identification used to be done by the eyes. Eye is a part of judgement that uses by human. Without eyes, human lost. That is why eye is so important for people to see and then only they can judge and identify. We as human can identify things without eyes as well but that seems like not the human's nature unless they were born to be blind. It is obvious that no one wanted to be blind or beiing abnormal. W all wanted to be as good as possible. As blind people continues life, they use feeling to judge then identify. But in that case we can't compare their ability to us. We of those who are able to see is different and they are given the specialties from god above to make used the best of their touch receptors. If we are in that position we might fail. Simple thing to understand, is that we needed judgement. We cannot simply identify things that we don't really know. Easy example for you: do u dare to put your hand in a hole that you dont know what is inside? Inside might be snake,s spiders or centipedes. Do you eat something that you dislike? Do you love someone you don't know? The feeling is similar to those situations. We see to clarify and to judge then we do our best identification of all of what it is about. See also means "you know". It is for your early glimpse of what you see. Think of this: why do you see mirror when you comb your hair? All the best and good luck!

When I was at university, we had to do an experiment, with regard to our senses. Ten of us were told that for the next week, we would be blind.Ours eyes were covered and stayed that way 24hrs. a day. We had to find our way around all the buildings and do all the every-day things that we did normally, but this time with out being able to see.It was an amazing experience. Very quickly we leaned to use our ears, and nose to help in our surroundings. We were utterly `gob-smacked` that we could `see` so much without our eyes!

Strange that you placed this under psychology... because it sounds more like a question of FAITH, to me:-)

Of which, incidentally, I have endless amounts... ever since I met God as an eight year old inside a coma, some 53 years ago.

So, I know that God exists, that Christ exists, that the Holy Spirit does as well, and through all life's trials and they have been many, I still know they're with me... yet, I don't see them daily, but, because He let me keep the 'feeling' of His presence from that time to comfort and protect me inwardly, I still feel them always with me, and for that, I don't need to touch and see physically at all... because my inner senses do it for me;-)

Christian
God Bless all:-)

Another gross overgeneralisation .... I can't see you, but I identify with you strongly. In fact I think I am very quickly falling for you ... will you marry me ? Gosh, I don't even know you and already we have got so far.
