My sister in law had a baby. Her husband smoked pot around her the whole time and before conception. The baby was born with issues and it was found that she is on the autistic spectrum with Sensory Intergration Disorder and a couple of other issues. Show your sister this post and tell her to make him stop.

When there is Mother bearing a child, she has to be responsible to protect that child at all means. If the husband loves his wife and that unborn child , he must smoke outdoors away from his wife.
Otherwise the consequences and the odds that the baby will be born with no defects is a 100:1 odds. Not very good odds.

Some Mothers will say I smoke and my baby turned out okay...not true.

The baby will get the nicotine and that can cause problems in the development of that child.

I say the husband needs to change his area where he smokes for the sake of the unborn child.
If he can't, then I call him a worthless low life.

I'm sure it has its affects, but not as harmful as if she were doing them herself, as she is being a filter to her unborn child. But none the less, now would be a good time to take up the practice of not smoking in the house at all. Since studies show that infants that live in households that allow smoking around the baby have a higher risk of SIDS. I'd worry more about the affects after the child is born if this continues.

The second hand smoke your sister is inhaling is not good for her and the her baby! I would find some literature on the subject...ask your obgyn about getting this info. and you can do research on the internet and give this information to your sis and her hubby!! If he is going to continue his smoking than he needs to do it outside! Why problem with situation is....why does your sister stay with someone that smokes pot? She could have the baby taken from her!!! I think you also may need to get the family involved regarding the pot situation!! Your sister and the baby do not need to live in that environment!!!

well u and ur sis need to have a talk , because even though she isnt really felling the effect of all that smoke that small baby in her belly is. the babys lungs are so tiny and being filled with toxic chemicals at a very young age isnt good. has she ever herd of 2nd havd smoking , well that is 3rd hand smoking for that baby, tell her to really listen to u and to keep her and her baby healthy and tell her husband to stop smoking at least around the areas where her and the baby will be ( at home, in the car, ect.)

your not being a worried little sister. Second had smoke is worse. There are still some effects. I would talk to a doctor before confronting your sister. and do research so she can read up on it.
