My old computer will not talk to a flash drive, has what appears to be a broken ethernet port, does not have CD-R/W, and won't connect to the network router. Not sure what I can do to transfer files. Any ideas?

Take your hard drive and install it to the new system as a slave.

since you can't use other options like the usb port, cd rom or a network cable , if your system is hooked up to the internet why not e-mail it to yourself then you can copy it out on another system that has a uasb port... or you could use a blue tooth.
