Yes certainly Sehwag should be dropped. The following statistics shows that he is going through poor performance.

2006 Calendar Year Test Batting Average of Sehwag:

Mat I NO Runs HS Ave SR 100 50 Ct St
12 21 1 791 254 39.55 84.96 2 2 8 -

Since Sehwag is a player with proven record and can demoralise any bowling attack in the world when he is in form, team Management considers him as a sure choice for World Cup along with Pathan and Dhoni. As the world cup is few months away, dropping him from the side may demoralise him and there is not sufficient time for him to get back his confidence. That is the reason why he is being retained in the team so as to provide him maximum opportunities to regain his lost touch and form.

NO as a Pakistani fan of Veeru I would request you all to back him up and do not talk about dropping him. He just needs an innings of 50 odds to boost his morale and find that great form which has made him hero of millions.
