If you are still smoking, there is nothing that will get rid of the smell.

If you are quitting, then you can make a strong solution of a degreaser type cleaner and clean your walls. If you have carpet, you will also want to get it professionally cleaned or replace it.

The nicotine and tar in cigarrettes stick to the walls, windows, etc until you use a strong degreaser to remove the gunk.

I bought my parents house, and both were smokers. It's been 8 years, and I have scrubbed, replaced carpets, repainted, had the vents cleaned and aired it out by opening all the windows and doors for a few weeks, and I can still smell it on rainy days.

Hope that helps!

That insidious smell is all but impossible to eradicate by spraying an airfreshner. All that the spray accomplishes is layering another scent on top of the first.
We recently renovated our house after leasing it to a smoker for years. All the furniture was removed and the smell remained. Then we ripped out all the carpeting and still that smell persisted. We repainted and that smell was still in the house. We left plates of vinegar and baking soda about, hoping that horrific smell would eventually cease. It did not. It was as though the smoke permeated the blue-board and wooden frame. As a last resort we just left all doors and windows open for a week - the smell was faint. Then we came in w/ the air freshener to mask it. While the house was on the market we kept a lit candle on the counter too.

Smoking sucks.

Smoking will make you more stressed hiding from your parents. Anyhow, to your questions... 1.Hands: Hand Sanitizer You can get it in a small bottle too, pretty cheap. Works wonders. Smell will be completely gone. 2.Face: When smoking, exhale straight out and with the wind, so no smoke gets on you. (also when holding your cig, make sure that smoke doesn't get on you too) 3. Hair: well it is best you wear a hat, or a hoodie. 4. Clothes, A rain jacket, or smooth clothing doesn't absorb smell as much as say cotton clothes or a sweater (common sense). 5. Breath: Drink water or something, rinse out your mouth, and chewing gum. (Before doing this, take some long deep breaths to clear your lungs) 6. Wash your face with soap and water, brush your teeth, to prevent staining of from smoking (dentists can tell) To reduce stress, going outside itself helps. Exercise, better eating. But hey, if you quit smoking in the future if you start feeling crappy from it, it will make you feel better, so its a constant circle of feeling good... right? Enjoy, hope this helps.

It is best to not smoke in the house period. Especially since the nicotine sticks to the walls. If you smoke in your car, get some windex and wipe your inside dash. All that yellow junk you'll find on the cloth is also sticking to the walls in your home. (Just to give you an idea.) Not to mention the smell sticks to all the fabrics in your house, and it's not like you can throw your sofa's in the washing machine.
Anyway, if you're in the stage of wanting to quit altogether, let me know. I started the nicoderm patch on Jan. 1. So far so good!
Good Luck.

Try using Fabreeze fabric freshener, or Fabreeze air freshener. Also, smoke only outdoors, not in your car or in the house, that way the smoke doesn't linger long enough to stink up your clothes, furniture, or car. But really, quitting is the best.

1st get a good air purifier, they are a little pricey, but they work great. Try www.Sharperimage.com
2nd for your clothes and furniture, use Febreeze, the kind that smells like clean linnen.
That keeps my house and clothes smelling fresh

Why don't you just quit. Nevermind the smell, it isn't healthy. Plus, it's not cool anymore either....
