It sounds like she is gaining very well!
She's gained 3 lbs 9 ounces in one month! That's FABULOUS! Average weight gain at this age is about 5-7 oz per week. She's well above that!

Keep up the good work Mommy! Your baby is gaining perfectly! WAYTOGO.
My DD was 6 pounds 5 ounces at birth and was 10 pounds 5 ounces at 8 weeks and my doctor said it was great!
Your milk is the best thing for your baby. No need to diet or anything.

1) No pediatrician would EVER put a baby on a diet. If they suggest it, they are quacks!
2) Your baby's growth sounds perfect. Breastfed babies usually are a little chubbier than bottle fed ones. Mainly because there is more fat in natural milk than milk out of a can.
Trust your doctor and trust yourself.
All 3 of my kids were chubby little cherubs until they hit a year old and started walking. They are all perfectly healthy and at perfect weights for their heights.

You are doing fine. It's normal to have some doubts when you're starting to nurse. I would say that your daughter's weight gain is excellent. Keep up the good work and keep her off of formula -- breast is best!
And... Trust the pediatrician. If you don't have a good relationship with the pediatrician you need to find another one. They generally know best!

I nursed until my daughter turned 6 months old. She wasn't 11 lbs at 1 mos. but at birth she was 7.14 and 20 inches and around 9 lbs at her one month and 21 1/2 inches. My cousin is nursing and her two month daughter is 13 lbs and 23 inches. So yes...your baby is growing beautifully and its awesome that she's thriving on your milk! No worries and keep up the good work! Congrats and best wishes!

I nursed my premature baby who weighed 5 lb 13 oz at birth. In one month he had bumped up to 7 lbs 13 ounces, at this point I dont remeber his length. Babies all do different things at different times. One month she will gain alot and then the next maybe not at all. Keep up the good work mom.

My daughter is now 5 months old, and I just started her on solids a few weeks ago, before that, just breastmilk. At her 4 month check up she was 12.8lbs and 22inches......
So your baby is growing beautifully!!!!! You are doing a great job!!!!
