I'm 13, a C cup, though I'm thin. My mom worries a lot about such things, modesty, health, and makes me wear bras like the one at http://www.anita.com/de/en/0,1,104,1478,39236__products-detail.htm It's a good support bra, but I don't like it, makes me sweat especially when it's hot and has 4 hooks in the back, so difficult to put on. All my bras are like that, with slight differences. At 13, I don't enjoy them, but my mom says I got wear one for my best, for support. I know it's out of love, she's a wonderful mom and I'm 13, so I have to obey and no one could convince her I don't need such bras. To make things worse to me, a doctor told me e and my mom those bras are good for support and to avoid back problems. Do I really need them? Are such bras good for my health?

You can't argue that the bra offers great support. But so do less constricting bras. When buying a bra one should take in consideration the issue of comfort.

You say that you are thin. If you feel like your chest weighs you down than that bra may be a good choice for you. Because it does have padding in the straps to help with the pressure put on your shoulders.

But if you say that its causing you to sweat. Thats a huge problem. The skin needs to be able to breathe. The rubbing of the fabric while sweating can cause an infection or irritation. A lot of times you can develop a yeast infection on the underside of your breasts. And it is not pleasant.

My suggestion is to find a middle ground with your mother. Do a little research about your issues with the bra, especially the sweating. Bring it to her attention. Suggest going to a store and speak to someone in the lingerie department together. I'm sure with the help of the sales associate a middle ground can be found.

you don't need THAT much support, but it can't hurt...you don't want them to be saggy! but a c up isn't all that big that you need a big ol bra like that! Just tell your mom that you find them constrictive and uncomfortable and you would like to try something different. Victorias secret are the best and they make them in all different kinds and they are all comfortable...just talk to your mom and tell her how you feel and hopefully she will listen! good luck!!! Just make sure you are NOT wearing a bra like that when you have your first experience with a boy... =0)

I could only wish I had your problem. lol Support bras are better for your back, but I think at 13 you would want something a little sexier and pretty. I'm sure they exist and support well as well.
