I just finished watching "Nausicaa of the Wind" for the first time. I really loved it, maybe even more than "Princess Mononoke"! There are a lot of the earlier films I haven't seen yet. If you have a favorite, let me know--I don't want to miss any of them!
Also, if you're an English speaker and have opinions on watching the dubbed versions or the Japanese with subtitles, I'd be interested in reading what you think--thanks.

Isn't Nausicca the best? I love it just as much as Princess Mononoke also ^_^.
I love all things Miyazaki, but my fave is "Spirited Away" with "Howl's Moving Castle" in second. Oh and I perfer subtiles over dubs. The dub voices usually just dont seem to match the character, plus I love listening to spoken Japanese!

I like "The Cat Returns", although the daughter prefers "Spirited Away".
I can read fast and prefer the subtitles, as I want to hear the inflections in the original
