Here, it was only 5am. But I woke up, and turned on the tv as always, and turned it from Animal Planet because Steve Irwin was on and he bothered me. I came across the news channel where I saw the first tower in smoke. I watched in shock as the second plane hit, then with tears I watched the towers fall.

Up at about 6 am that morning starting off as usual to get ready to attend yet another day of my second semester and first year of college here locally. I heard my mother shout down about some plane hitting the WTC and some fire. So I just turned on the tv and watched reasoning why there was this gaping hole in the North tower and if the weather was so perfect how the hell the plane hit the building and why. Then before the second plane hit right when it came into the frame I knew. That plane deliberately was turning and banking and diving right into the south tower. I just knew. ******* terrorist. Then we got the news of the pentagon and latter the 4th one that our people on board helped divert into the ground saving untold people. It was a hard day to attend school and most of the students were glued to the tv's in the SUB and we watched the towers fall that morning and WTC number 7 fall that afternoon. What really pissed me off is one news channel showed idiots dancing in the streets burning our flag. I was pissed. Damned terrorist.

Waking up to a quiet morning in a brand new house on a first beautiful cool crisp day of Fall, preparing to work on my novel manuscript. I first saw the image of the first WTC building struck by a plane on the Internet, and news treatment was careful; by all first appearances, it seemed it was a tragic accident.
I turned the TV on CNN and will never forget seeing that reporter on the roof of a nearby smaller WTC building, with the towers just over his shoulder. Someone behind the camera yelled out "OHHH MY GOD...LOOK, LOOOOK!!" The reporter spun back to look.....and I saw LIVE on TV, the second plane ram into the other main WTC tower.
From that very second, there was NO doubt filthy barbaric terrorists were behind this senseless act of killing innocnet people. I was flash angry at that second (still am towards them to this day). I sat in that easy chair the ENTIRE day, till the sun set and it was dark outside.
It was surreal for me, for I live thousands of miles from New York; I couldn't get a full grip on the tragedy I watched unfold. But I was physically and emotionally drained, having seen one bad thing happen after another that sad dark tragic day.

At work. Very looong day. I work in a busy sales office in the southern US and all phone calls stopped around 9:00 am that morning. We didn't have a television or radio and information on the internet was hard to come by as the traffice on CNN website was too heavy. We had someone's wife who was at home watching the television calling us with updates. Very sad day.

I was listening to Howard Stern oddly enough on my way to work when they started talking abou it and I truly thought it was a joke. When I went into my first call, and overheard someone say a plane had hit the Pentegon, I truly thought it was like WWIII or something. I rushed to my son's preschool and so as not to freak him out, just sat in the parking lot of it till he got out. I know, weird but it made me feel better. I think what made that day so memorable for me outside the horrible tragedy of it all was how beautiful the weather was, and how empty the sky was of airplanes. So surreal.....

At a major university for my 6 week follow-up from my Brian Tumor Surgery. The hospital was locked down and they announced the horror that was taking place in New York. I remember not being concerned at that point for myself anymore but for everyone in the world who would be touched by the terror of such a heartless act.

I just finished work and went home, when the first plane hit. My mum called me into the living room to say a plane had hit one of the World Trade Centre towers. I was then glued to the television for the rest of the day.

In a yoga class in Fort Lauderdale, where I lived at the time. At the break, someone came in and told us and everyone just continued the class. I picked up my towels and went home -- just in time to see the second tower collapse on TV. And where were you when you heard about JFK's assassination? I was in class in Junior High School!
