Well, actually he began with Germany. After he became its ruler he seized Austria, his native land. Then he demanded in Munich the delivery of part of Czechoslovakia ( later he occupied the whole country )
It is said that he wanted the munitions factory Skoda in Czechoslovakia to get the war supplies he needed
Then he faked a Polish invasion of the German border as a pretext to invade Poland, causing the WWII .
The British Empire declared war when they realized that Hitler would not leave Poland

Austria, in March of 1938. Then he took over the Sudetenland, a region of Czechoslovakia with a german speaking minority in October of 1938. In March of 39 he took over the rest of Czechoslovakia, and then Poland when the war started. Hungary was an ally, never directly taken over.

He annexed Austria first, then also annexed parts of Czechoslovakia called the Sudetenland's, which were inhabited by German speaking people before invading Poland. That's when war eventually kicked off.
