If it were just animals, plants and micro-organisms would the earth be in the state it is in now? With pollution, global warming, world hunger, racism, prejudice. It’s like everything that was put on this earth was meant for our nourishment and to help us, but we take advantage of it … it’s like that with everything we use everything the wrong way (ex. sex, money, people, our minds and even our earth. It’s the only one we have and we’re killing it.) In your opinion is the human race a mistake?

world hunger, racism, pollution and prejudice are human phenomena - obviously - so yeah, I suppose none of those things would exist without us. But then again, there'd be no one to ask or contemplate this question either.

I live in Puerto Rico and I think that in what regards to pollution yes, there will be a difference. Yet about hunger, animals kill each other for food, just watch discovery Chanel or animal planet, they would even kill us if we wouldn't have them locked. I see also dogs or cats or all kinds of animal fighting and is not for food, some of them fight for a female or for a spot, not all the animals are the same but so are we humans. Any person who can do bad, can also do good, so is not about looking at the bad things only but looking also at the good things or how can we do good. In my own pinion, I make mistakes all the time and every time I do, I try to do it better the next time, yet the problem comes when I don't want to correct my mistakes. Sex used to be sacred, in order for you to have sex, you would need to get married, but we loose the meaning of it and now sex is nothing but pleasure. The same with money, the father would work and take care of his family, now the father and the mother work and their kids learn everything they need to be teach out of the family. They learn from the moment they are born that money is so important that his/her parents cant have some time for them. In conclusion, I remember when i was only seven years old, life was money, sex and alcohol, and still is today. Without reason we are animals and worse because we have imagination.

A "mistake" means that there was a conscious thought to create something and the wrong thing was chosen. If you believe in creation from a deity, then you are saying that your god is fallible, which would be a paradox. If you believe in evolution, then there isn't a chance to be a mistake because there was no choice, just natural progression of a species. In this scenario, there are two possible outcomes. First, we evolve out of our self destructive behavior, or two, we destroy ourselves and a new/different species evolves to the top of the chain. In either case, there is no mistake.

NO. God doesn't make any mistakes. When Jesus returns He'll make a new heaven and a new earth. We'll see how it once was until sin came in. Never forget - God is in control. We have a lot to look forward to in the future. Our time on earth is a tiny matter compared to eternal life with Christ.

You miss the big picture. There's been multiple cataclysmic events throught time that have caused mass die-offs of species on earth. Human impact does not approach the scale of most of those, and we've only been at it for a few thousand years - a blip on the evolutionary scale. The planet will survive, it has before.

The human race is not a mistake...

the only reason the Earth exists is for us... that's not an excuse to butcher it... we should still take care of it... but it was built for us.. so we cannot be the worst thing to happen to it... granted we have done things we shouldn't but still

this is our Earth.

We are just animals. And its quite true we have become extremely self-involved creatures, but unlike most others, we seem to enjoy dirtying our own nest.
But we are no more a mistake than the Tasmanian Devil.

People should soon realize that we do not hurt Earth because it can regenerate and heal itself through time. We only destroy our own race, animals and plants. When we will destroy ourselves, something new will begin to grow through evolution.
