There is no expectation of privacy on a company computer, thus you have no recourse.

Company equipment, company time - they own any and all communications. You cannot expect any privacy on a work computer. No recourse whatsoever. You lose. They have a moral obligation to keep your personal stuff private but not a legal one. Live and learn.

If you were disciplined, you have the right to see all the information that the disciplinary action was based on.

Regardless, I think that if you are using a company computer, any information you access on it is able to be seen by your company.

However, it should be kept confidential, I think. You really need to call a lawyer on this one.

They have every right to view your emails, it is the property of the company, most companies document that upon hiring. However, if someone is telling others what was in your email that is reason to get a lawyer.

I don't think you're entitled to know what they saw. If, however, someone saw your email and then discussed it with someone else for a reason unrelated to disciplinary action at the company (i.e. gossiping) then it sounds like you would have an option to sue.
