I'm reading a book right now that said 70% of women answered they would rather endure financial instability than lack closeness with their significant other.

I would rather suffer from financial troubles. I would hate to have problems in my relationship. If we have each other, then we can get through anything.

I would choose #2. Money is the root of all evil and having any financial strain...being single or w/someone is still hard to overcome. I personally am in a tight situation myself and have financial stress and I have to be careful not to ruin the realtionship i do have. The money situation alone has caused lack of closeness and can make a person distant, the two go hand in hand. I wouldnt wish either on anyone.

There are probably more divorces caused by financial situations than anything else. You can usually fix other things in a relationship but finances is a different story. You can only make a dollar go so far.

if i had no other choice.. it might be the second one because you can always find someone else to be in a relationship with. financial struggles seem to be more complicated than a love relationship... i think.

Financial struggles....far easier to deal with... when you have somebody to love and who loves you.
