Yeah definitely a boy. I work with a guy named Daryl. I have never heard a girl with that name.

I know some Daryls who are male. The only Daryl I've heard of that is female is Daryl Hannah, the actress.

I have heard the name used before for a girl ie: Daryl Hannah.

However, it is much more common for boys.

Daryl is often used for boys. The same with Joey and Charlie; they are boys' name but some parents use it for girls. l know some of them.

I would say boy but then again I have a brother in law and had a father in law named Darrel. Your spelling though may be more suited to a girl.

"Daryl" is a good name for redneck boys, second only to "Bubba." Naming a boy "Daryl" will ensure that he has a mullet by his 2nd birthday.
