The ticket says I get my licence revoked until I pay, but is that it? Do I go to jail? And if I go to jail, do I still have to pay the ticket/fines? I'm planning on disputing it in court, but if I don't win I want to know if it might be worth it to just go to jail (cuz I sure can't afford the ticket).

If you get your license revoked and you get caught driving anyhow you compound your problems. If you just refuse to pay it a warrant will be issued for your arrest and it might not be convenient when they get you.

If it is just a matter of you are guilty and cannot pay the ticket tell the judge. He may be in a good mood and work out a payment schedule for you. Or he may be in a mood and send you to jail. I would think the jail time will cancel the fine but not sure about that. Sometimes it is in addition to the fine.

I have to assume you have a job? If not get one and start saving up for the fine. I can't imagine that jail would be better than just paying the fine.

Depending on where you are, for refusing to pay you will not directly go to jail, but first and most likely get indicted by the state where you got the ticket. If you are condemned to pay the ticket and you still refuse, you do stand a good chance of going to jail AND you will have a criminal record.
It would be very, very wise to pay the ticket. If you can't, point this out to the judge and prove it ( with income evidence ).

A warrant will be filed for your arrest, granted the cops are probably not going to come beating down your door. It is still a criminal Warrant which prevents you from leaving the country, filing for any legal paper work. And it will turn into an arrest that will appear on your permanent record.

You are best to pay it, find a way. It will haunt you for a very long time. You will loose you license, you will have a criminal record this will negatively impact your future earning power.

You can lay it out in jail. You are paid so much per day to be used against you fine. Different counties different amount per day. If you can't pay the ticket and you go to court you will also be responsible for court cost. That will also be added to the amount you owe.

If you can't afford the ticket, and I mean REALLY can't afford the ticket, make sure that you mention that to the Court during your hearing. Be prepared to show financial statements. If you're wililng to plead guilty, the Court MAY lower the amount of the ticket so it's affordable for you.

As others have said, in some states, the cop will arrest you. Just sign the goddamned thing. You aren't admitting guilt. You signature just denotes that you actually have been given the ticket. Or are you one of those "Sovereign Citizens" who thinks that using a ZIP code makes you into a slave of the Federal government? For those reading this, there are nutballs who think this is true.

If you think you have a legitimate reason to fight the ticket, go for it. If not, it's not worth the trouble to have your license suspended and you probably couldn't renew your license plates as well. Usually jail is reserved for serial offenders who have numerous tickets against them.

YOu go to jail until the ticket cost is paid. It's called pay or stay, and you still lose your license. Remember driving is a priviledge, not a right.

You won't be hunted down and thrown in jail, but if you ever get pulled over again and the police checks your license, it will show that you have a warrant and you will be arrested.

If you ever get your car towed or wind up in any court, they will make you pay any past tickets before you can get your car out or get you out.

It's worse than coming after you, it hangs over your head constantly like the sword of Damocles.
